Doping substances
To start with, anabolic steroids were used as medicines. Nowadays they are not used, because we have much better medicines and better knowledge of the risks of using steroids.
But in sports they are still used as doping substances because they improve the athletes efficiency.
Anabolic steroids
The anabolic androgenic steroid is a chemical substance. Nowadays it’s called anabolic steroids because they try to take away the androgenic effect.
Anabolic steroids are male hormones, testosteron. Testosteron has both anabolic as well as androgen effect. Men have about 20 times more testosteron than women. Testosteron develops low voice and hoarseness. It’s the androgen effect. The anabolic effect is the effect the sportsmen want to have. The anabolic effect build up their muscles.
Anabolic steroids could be taken in different forms:
Tablets and capsules.
Anabolic steroids are imported from Russia, Hungary and Poland.
Sometimes anabolic steroids are used as medicines, but just in small parts. They are used by persons who have breast cancer and by persons who can’t produce their own hormones.
The influenceon our body when we use anabolic steroids.
